SIAC Tennis Weekly Honors: Feb. 18

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Tennis Players of the Week on Tuesday, Feb. 18, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in matches played last week. Spring Hill’s Hugo Blasco Granell and Romina Kroemer were recognized.

MEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – HUGO BLASCO GRANELL, SPRING HILL COLLEGE
Junior | Castellon, Spain
Blasco Granell had a great outing in Spring Hill's 5-2 win against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on Thursday. He started the day off with a 7-6 victory in doubles play to clinch the point for the Badgers. In singles, he defeated his opponent 6-0, 6-2 in his contribution to SHC's win.

WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ROMINA KROEMER, SPRING HILL COLLEGE
Sophomore | Magdeburg, Germany
Kroemer helped lead Spring Hill to a 4-3 win against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on Thursday. She started with a point-clinching victory in doubles play on the No. 2 court. In singles, she clinched the match point for the Badgers, defeating her opponent 1-6, 6-4, 7-6 in the No. 4 spot.
