Allen University guard
Taliah Wesley has been named HBCU National Player of the Week, as announced by BOXTOROW Monday morning.
Wesley, a senior from Blakely, Georgia, averaged 15.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 2.7 steals per game as she helped lead the Yellow Jackets to a 2-1 record last week. In the victory over Benedict on Feb. 22, Wesley scored 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting, including 4-of-7 from three-point range, and grabbed a season-high 19 rebounds along with three steals.
Wesley will be highlighted on the nationally syndicated sports talk show BOXTOROW with Donal Ware, which airs on radio stations across the country and outside of the U.S. in Bermuda and the Bahamas. A list of the radio stations that carry the program can be found at

Allen University will conclude its regular season on Wednesday, Feb. 26, against Clark Atlanta. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. inside John Hurst Adams Gymnasium.
