SIAC Men's Basketball Weekly Honors: Feb. 25

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week on Tuesday, Feb. 25, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week. Albany State's Blaise Wallace and Kendale Johnson were recognized.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – BLAISE WALLACE, ALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY
Forward | Sophomore | Tallahassee, Fla.

Wallace has been a dominant force for the Albany State Golden Rams, establishing himself as one of the most impactful two-way players in the SIAC. His relentless work on the boards has made him the top rebounder in the conference, giving Albany State a crucial edge in second-chance opportunities. His performance led to a win over Benedict College and despite falling short in triple overtime Wallace was a dominant force in the game finishing with 25 pts and 24 rebounds.

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – KENDALE JOHNSON, ALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY
Guard | Junior | Denver, Colo.

Johnson has been a key contributor for the Albany State Golden Rams, providing consistent scoring and versatility on both ends of the floor. His efficiency from beyond the arc has made him one of the most reliable perimeter threats in the conference. In addition to his scoring, Johnson has been active on the boards, grabbing five or more rebounds in multiple games, adding another dimension to his well-rounded game.
