ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Men’s Track and Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday, March 11, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in meets last week.
Albany State’s
Tyler Mapson and
Adoni Nembhard-Belcher were recognized.
MEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – TYLER MAPSON, ALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY
Senior | College Park, Ga.
Mapson delivered outstanding performances in consecutive meets last week, placing third in the 100m (10.83) and first in the 200m (21.55) at the JD Evilsizer Invitational. He finished third in the 100m (10.71) and 200m (21.31) at the Eagle Invite and helped the 4x400m relay team to a second-place showing (3:15.99).
MEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – ADONI NEMBHARD-BELCHER, ALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY

Nembhard-Belcher turned in impressive performances in back-to-back meets last week. He secured first place in the long jump (6.86m) at the JD Evilsizer Invitational, then improved to 6.94m at the Eagle Invite. He also placed second in the triple jump at the Eagle Invite with a mark of 14.07 meters.
