SIAC Baseball Weekly Honors: March 11

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Baseball Players of the Week on Tuesday, March 11, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week. Kendal Spencer(Savannah State) and Korey Bunselmeyer (Spring Hill) were recognized.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – KENDAL SPENCER, SAVANNAH STATE UNIVERSITY
Outfielder | Senior | Tampa, Fla.
Spencer propelled Savannah State to a three-game road sweep of Albany State last week. He went 2-for-5 with two RBI in the opener, followed by a 2-for-4 effort in the second game, that included a double, triple, one run scored and two RBI. Spencer capped the series by going 4-for-5, collecting two doubles, two runs, one stolen base and four RBI.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK – KOREY BUNSELMEYER, SPRING HILL COLLEGE
Pitcher | R-Senior | Ava, Ill.
Bunselmeyer tossed 7.0 innings with eight strikeouts, three walks and a single run in Spring Hill’s win over Tuskegee on Friday. He has the second-most strikeouts in the SIAC with 32 on the season.
