SIAC Men’s Volleyball Weekly Honors: March 11

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Men’s Volleyball Players of the Week on Tuesday, March 11, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in matches played last week. Richard Hendricks (Edward Waters), Benjamin Latham (Central State) and Oneil Daley (Edward Waters) were recognized.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – RICHARD HENDRICKS, EDWARD WATERS UNIVERSITY
Outside Hitter | Junior | Kingston, Jamaica
Hendricks helped the Tigers to a 2-1 record last week, including two SIAC wins over Benedict. He totaled 56 kills, 31 digs and four aces through four games. The junior from Jamaica recorded a career high 28 kills in a comeback road win over Benedict.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – BENJAMIN LATHAM, CENTRAL STATE UNIVERSITY
Libero/Defensive Specialist | Junior | Jacksonville, Fla.
Latham tallied 31 digs, averaging 3.4 digs per set, in matches against Thomas More and LeMoyne-Owen last week. He ranks No. 1 in the SIAC in digs and No. 3 in the NCAA in digs per set.

SETTER OF THE WEEK – ONEIL DALEY, EDWARD WATERS UNIVERSITY
Setter/Libero | Senior | Spanish Town, Jamaica
Daley compiled 130 assists across three matches, helping Edward Waters finish 2-1 on the week. He averaged 43.3 assists per match and recorded a career-high 55 in a comeback road win over Benedict. Daley also contributed five aces.
