MOBILE, Ala. — The
Spring Hill College baseball team started the SIAC series against
Lane with a 15-5 run-rule victory at Sims-Galle Field on Thursday.

After trailing 2-0 through the first inning, the Badgers (22-9, 16-2 SIAC) rattled off three runs in the second to take the lead.
Spring Hill stacked on four more runs, highlighted by
Bryce Anderson's two-run double, to make it 7-2 through three innings. The Dragons (9-19, 9-10 SIAC) kept the game within reach, 7-4, with a pair of runs in the fourth.
SHC scored five more runs in the sixth to extend its lead to 14-4. Lane mustered another run in the seventh to stave off the run-rule in the seventh. A bases-loaded walk issued by the Dragons gave the Badgers the winning run later in the inning.
Bryce Anderson led at the plate with two runs and two RBIs on three hits in four at-bats.
Korey Bunselmeyer (7-1) earned the win on the bump with three strikeouts and a pair of walks in 6.0 innings of work.
