SIAC Men’s Volleyball Weekly Honors: March 4

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Men’s Volleyball Players of the Week on Tuesday, March 4, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in matches played last week. Alendy Sincoul (LeMoyne-Owen), Benjamin Latham (Central State) and Jacqson Lesure(LeMoyne-Owen) were recognized.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ALENDY SINCOUL, LEMOYNE-OWEN COLLEGE
Outside Hitter | Freshman | Lake Worth, Fla.
Alendy led the Magicians in kills with a career high 27 kills against Kentucky State in the program's first win last week. Alendy also had 11 digs in the match. Two days later he would provide the Magicians with 16 kills and 2 aces giving the hitter 43 Kills on the week. The freshman was named to the Scoop Volleyball team of the week which included athletes from UCLA, Pepperdine, Lewis and Mount Olive.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – BENJAMIN LATHAM, CENTRAL STATE UNIVERSITY
Libero/Defensive Specialist | Junior | Jacksonville, Fla.
Latham continues to be a defensive leader for the Marauders leading the team to two victories this week. He averaged 3.6 digs per set and carried an incredible 1.000 reception for the week. Latham also continues to lead the SIAC and have the 3rd most digs/set in the nation.

SETTER OF THE WEEK – JACQSON LESURE, LEMOYNE-OWEN COLLEGE
Setter/Opposite Hitter | Freshman | Chicago, Ill.
Lesure came up big for the Magicians with 49 assists and eight aces last week, leading the Magicians to their first win in program history and a 2-0 record for the week.
