SIAC Softball Weekly Honors: March 4

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Softball Players of the Week on Tuesday, March 4, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week. Tayler Floyd (Kentucky State) and Emma Curry (Spring Hill) were recognized.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – TAYLER FLOYD, KENTUCKY STATE UNIVERSITY
Outfielder | Graduate | Des Moines, Iowa
Floyd had a career-high of three home runs in the Thorobreds 17-8 win over LeMoyne-Owen on Saturday. During the three-game series against the Magicians, she recorded nine RBIs and eight runs and saw seven hits that included two triples and three home runs. Her performance improved her to a .348 batting average on the season.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK – EMMA CURRY, SPRING HILL COLLEGE
Pitcher | Junior | Slidell, La.
Curry has been a standout arm in the circle this week, highlighted by a 6.0-inning shutout performance against Miles on March 2. She struck out seven, yielded five hits and issued no walks. She registered a 0.00 ERA in her two appearances against the Golden Bears, limiting them to five hits in 7.1 innings.
