Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference

ATLANTA — It’s win-or-go-home territory as the baseball regular season hits the final stretch, with teams vying for a spot in the SIAC tournament. Here’s a look at key matchups coming across the plate this week.

ALBANY STATE AT SPRING HILL
Game 1: Thursday, April 24, at 6 p.m. ET – SIAC Network
Game 2: Friday, April 25, at 1 p.m. ET – SIAC Network
Game 3: Friday, April 25, at 4 p.m. ET – SIAC Network

Spring Hill (27-2 SIAC) will host Albany State (20-10 SIAC) this week. The Badgers swept Benedict on the road last week, stretching their SIAC win streak to 16 games. Albany State posted its own three-game home sweep of Kentucky State last week, allowing zero runs in the opener and finale to push its SIAC win streak to eight. Currently, SHC is No. 1 in conference standings, and ASU is No. 4.

MILES AT LANE
Game 1: Friday, April 25, at 1 p.m. ET
Game 2: Friday, April 25, at 4 p.m. ET
Game 3: Saturday, April 26, at 2 p.m. ET

Miles (16-12 SIAC) will travel to Lane (11-18 SIAC) on Friday to kick off its final series of the season. Miles swept LeMoyne-Owen at home last week, imposing its will early and holding the Magicians scoreless in Game 1. Lane will look to better its season record after dropping three at Tuskegee last week. The Dragons are on the bubble going into the final week and need a solid weekend outing, plus help from others for a tournament berth. Currently, MC is No. 5 in conference standings, and LC is No. 9.

Edward Waters (22-8 SIAC) will play Clark Atlanta (12-18 SIAC) this weekend to close out the regular season. The Tigers took three at Morehouse last week, securing a season-high 18 hits in Game 2. The Panthers were swept by Savannah State on senior day, but their postseason dreams are still alive. Currently, EWU is No. 3 in conference standings, and CAU is No. 7.

MOREHOUSE AT SAVANNAH STATE
Game 1: Friday, April 25, at 4 p.m. ET – SIAC Network

Savannah State (23-7 SIAC) will host Morehouse (10-20 SIAC) this weekend. SSU enters the series on a four-game SIAC win streak after sweeping Clark Atlanta last week. MHC will look to improve its season record after dropping three at home to Edward Waters last week. Currently, SSU is No. 2 in conference standings, and MHC is No. 10.

Benedict (15-14 SIAC) will travel to Kentucky State (1-27 SIAC) to wrap up regular-season play this weekend. The Tigers lost all three to Spring Hill last week. The Thorobreds also went winless at Albany State last week. Currently, BC is No. 6 in conference standings, and KSU is No. 12.

TUSKEGEE AT LEMOYNE-OWEN

Tuskegee (12-18 SIAC) will travel north to kick off its series against LeMoyne-Owen (7-22 SIAC) on Saturday. TU swept Lane at home last week, scoring 27 runs and securing its fourth SIAC series win of the season. The Magicians came up empty at Miles last week, despite keeping games two and three close late. The Golden Tigers face pressure to perform well this weekend to hold on to a tournament spot. Currently, TU is No. 8 in conference standings, and LOC is No. 11.
