ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Golfer of the Month on Tuesday, April 8, honoring
Corey Lynn Patton Jr. of
Central State University for his impressive performances throughout the month of March.
GOLFER OF THE MONTH – COREY LYNN PATTON JR., CENTRAL STATE UNIVERSITY
Junior | Kettering, Ohio
Patton delivered a standout performance at the LeMoyne-Owen Invitational, claiming individual medalist honors with a winning score of 157 (78 in the first round and 79 in the final) while outperforming golfers from LeMoyne-Owen, Morehouse and Fisk. He followed with a strong showing at the Spring 2025 Tigers Invitational, finishing 21st overall with rounds of 80 and 85. Patton also represented Central State at the CIAA Southern Division Tournament, where he placed 54th with rounds of 79, 83 and 82. As team captain, Patton continues to lead by example on and off the course.
