ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Tennis Players of the Week on Tuesday, April 8, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in matches played last week.

Jenny Zapien (
Albany State) were recognized.
MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – TOM GUTERMANN, SPRING HILL COLLEGE
Junior | Biberach, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
Gutermann was instrumental in the Badgers' perfect 5-0 week at the SIAC Round-Up II, hosted at the Mobile Tennis Center. The junior went undefeated in singles play at the No. 1 spot, including a clean 6-0, 6-0 sweep against Fort Valley State. In doubles, he won all but one match at No. 1, including two 6-0 sweeps against LeMoyne-Owen and Fort Valley State.
WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – JENNY ZAPIEN, ALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY
Senior | Oaxaca, Mexico
Zapien delivered a standout performance for the Lady Golden Rams at the SIAC Roundup II last week. She went undefeated in both singles and doubles play, helping Albany State secure key victories throughout the tournament. Her consistency, focus, and competitive spirit made her a driving force on the court and a key contributor to the team's success. Zapien's performance is a true testament to her hard work and leadership.
