MEMPHIS, Tenn. — After recording its most wins in more than 20 years, the
LeMoyne-Owen College baseball program continues to build momentum — and two of its standouts are leading the charge.
Freshman right-handed pitcher
Jayden Smith will take the mound for a private workout with the Cincinnati Reds later this week. Smith closed out the regular season with All-SIAC honors, becoming the first program freshman to make the all-conference list in over 25 years.
Ibrahim Marrero, the Magicians' home run leader, will return to action this summer in the Northwoods League, suiting up for the Rochester Honkers in Minnesota. Marrero finished the regular season with 10 home runs, including eight against SIAC opponents.
The Magicians will return to the field this fall in preparation for the 2026 season and a shot at the SIAC Championship.
