FINALS: SAVANNAH STATE VS. SPRING HILL
No. 3
Savannah State takes an early lead and fends off a late rally to knock off top-seeded
Spring Hill and earn a spot in the championship game. The Tigers pounced out of the gate with a pair of unearned runs in the opening frame and tacked on additional runs in the second, fifth, and seventh innings behind timely hits. Savannah State's defense held firm through the middle innings before escaping an eighth-inning push from the Badgers, who cut into the deficit with a two-RBI single. SSU advances to the championship game and will face No. 4 Albany State today at 5 p.m. ET.
Spring Hill is eliminated from tournament play.
