SIAC Announces 2024-25 Commissioner's Cup Honors

MACON, Ga. — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference recognized Tuskegee and Morehouse as the recipients of its 2024-25 Commissioner's Cup awards on Tuesday during the 2025 SIAC Football Media Day event, held at the Tubman African American Museum in Macon, Georgia.

The highly coveted awards are presented annually to the SIAC member institutions whose teams demonstrate top athletic performance and competitive excellence in conference-sponsored championships throughout the academic year.

Awards selections are determined by a points-based system that rewards teams based on championship finishes. Teams earn 10 points for conference titles, seven points for second-place finishes and four points for third-place finishes.

Tuskegee secured the Women's Commissioner's Cup after impressive showings across multiple sports, highlighted by conference titles in indoor track and field, tennis and outdoor track and field. The Golden Tigers also recorded runner-up finishes in cross country and basketball, amassing 44 points in the final women's standings.

Morehouse captured the Men's Commissioner's Cup behind top championship performances in cross country and indoor track and field. The Maroon Tigers also added a runner-up finish in the outdoor track and field championship for 27 points in the final men's standings.

These prestigious honors further underscore the institutions' dedication to athletic excellence, highlighting the talents and determination of their student-athletes, coaches and support staff.
