ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Cross Country Runners of the Week on Tuesday, Sept. 23, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in meets last week.

MEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – BRIAN KEMEI, MOREHOUSE COLLEGE
Senior | Eldoret, Kenya
Morehouse senior Brian Kemei delivered a wire-to-wire victory at the Willie Laster Cross Country Invitational, crossing the line in 26:03.2 (5.14/mile pace) to win the men’s 8K. The performance marks a 1:39.6 improvement from his previous outing (27:42.8) and set the tone for the Maroon Tigers’ podium team finish.
WOMEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – CYNTHIA KOECH, LANE COLLEGE
Freshman | Eldoret, Kenya
Koech placed 8th overall and was the top Division II finisher at the Michael Pretorius Memorial with a time of 19:26.2.
