Tuskegee football defensive coordinator
O.C. Williams II has been selected to participate in the 2026 NCAA and NFL Coaches Academy, a prestigious professional development program designed to provide current, full-time college football coaches at NCAA member schools with an educational platform to develop leadership skills, build connections, and further their coaching careers.
Williams becomes the latest Tuskegee football coach to earn national recognition through the academy, which provides participants with advanced training, mentorship, networking opportunities, and exposure to NFL and NCAA decision-makers. The program focuses on leadership development, career advancement, and best practices across all facets of football operations.
Since joining the Golden Tigers' staff, Williams has played a key role in shaping Tuskegee's defensive identity, emphasizing discipline, accountability, and aggressive execution. Under his leadership, the Golden Tigers' defense has shown steady improvement, producing impactful performances across all three levels while developing multiple All-Conference and All-American caliber players.
The NCAA and NFL Coaches Academy serves as one of the premier pipelines for professional growth, offering participants access to curriculum focused on scheme development, leadership, analytics, communication, and career planning, while fostering meaningful connections throughout the football landscape.
Williams' selection continues Tuskegee's tradition of developing not only elite student-athletes but also respected coaches and leaders within the sport.

The SIAC is a NCAA athletic conference consisting primarily of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) with headquarters in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. The SIAC includes 15 member institutions (Albany State University, Allen University, Benedict College, Central State University, Clark Atlanta University, Edward Waters University, Fort Valley State University, Kentucky State University, Lane College, LeMoyne-Owen College, Miles College, Morehouse College, Savannah State University, Spring Hill College, and Tuskegee University), which are located within a contiguous seven-state footprint (Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee and Ohio).
