SIAC Men's Basketball Weekly Honors: Jan. 6

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Men's Basketball Players of the Week on Tuesday, Jan. 6, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week. Elijah Lewis and Jarrell Love of Lane College were recognized.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ELIJAH LEWIS, LANE COLLEGE
Point Guard | Sophomore | Atlanta, Ga.
Lewis led the Dragons to a 105–90 victory over Spring Hill last week, pouring in a career-high 49 points on 17-of-26 shooting from the field, including 7-of-11 from 3-point range, in 37 minutes of action. The sophomore also went 8-of-11 from the charity stripe and added three steals, three rebounds and two assists in the win.

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – JARRELL LOVE, LANE COLLEGE
Guard | Senior | Dallas, Texas
Love played a key role in the Dragons' 105–90 victory over Spring Hill last week, finishing with 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field and 5-of-8 from the free-throw line. The senior transfer added eight rebounds, a game-high five steals, two assists and one block.
