ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Softball Players of the Week on Tuesday, Feb. 17, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week.

Savannah State University were recognized.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – MILANI DUNNING, SAVANNAH STATE UNIVERSITY
Outfielder | Junior | Hollywood, Fla.
Dunning helped lead Savannah State to a 4-0 finish last week with strong production at the plate and on the bases. She opened the week going 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a stolen base in game one against Paine, then followed with four runs scored, a triple, two RBIs, three walks and a stolen base in game two. Against Johnson C. Smith, Dunning went 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored in the first meeting and added a triple, a run scored, a walk and a stolen base in the second game.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – DONNEA ALLEN, SAVANNAH STATE UNIVERSITY
Pitcher/Infielder | Sophomore | North Port, Fla.
Allen delivered a dominant week in the circle for Savannah State, helping the Lady Tigers to a 4-0 finish. Against Paine, she allowed just two hits and three walks while striking out seven over 7.0 innings. She followed with another complete-game effort on the road against Johnson C. Smith, surrendering only three hits and one run while recording 11 strikeouts over 7.0 innings.
