ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Women's Basketball Players of the Week on Tuesday, Feb. 17, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week.
Ma'Kayla Williams (

Paris Triplett (
Albany State) were recognized.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – MA'KAYLA WILLIAMS, CENTRAL STATE UNIVERSITY
Guard | Sophomore | Dayton, Ohio
Williams delivered a tremendous two-game performance, leading the Marauders with her scoring efficiency, perimeter shooting, and all-around impact in a pair of key conference matchups. In the win over LeMoyne-Owen, Williams scored 12 points on an efficient 4-of-6 shooting from the field, including 1-of-2 from beyond the arc. She added four rebounds and three assists while playing strong, disciplined defense that helped set the tone on that end of the floor. She elevated her performance even further against Kentucky State, pouring in 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting and a remarkable 5-of-6 from three-point range. Williams once again contributed four rebounds, along with an assist and a steal. For the week, Williams averaged 17.0 points while shooting over 60% from the field and 75% from three-point range.
NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – PARIS TRIPLETT, ALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY
Center | Sophomore | Orlando, Fla.
Triplett made a significant impact for Albany State with a pair of strong performances against Miles College and Spring Hill College. The newcomer averaged 10.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game, anchoring the Lady Golden Rams on the glass and providing steady interior play. Triplett recorded a dominant 11-rebound performance against Spring Hill while adding 12 points, playing a pivotal role in Albany State’s conference road win.
