LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Morehouse captured its second consecutive title at the 2026 SIAC Men’s Indoor Track and Field Championship presented by Toyota on Friday at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.
The Maroon Tigers finished the two-day meet with 149 points, followed by Tuskegee with 92 points and Benedict with 85.
Morehouse’s
Victor Chebii took home SIAC Men's Track Performer of the Year honors, placing first in the 3,000-meter (9:12.45) and the 4,000-meter distance medley relay (10:47.47). He finished second in the 5,000-meter (15:45.32) and the 1-mile run (4:29.66), totaling 28.5 points.
Allen's
Jhy'rique Mangum was awarded SIAC Men’s Field Performer of the Year for his first-place finishes in the weight throw (16.74 meters; 54-11.25) and the shot put (15.53 meters; 50-11.50). Mangum also received the SIAC Men’s Indoor Track and Field Elite 16 Award for his championship performance and academic success. The Elite 16 award, the SIAC’s highest academic achievement honor, is awarded to student-athletes who display exemplary performances in athletics and the classroom.
Legendary Morehouse head coach
Willie Hill received the SIAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Coach of the Year award after leading his team to back-to-back conference titles.
