LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Tuskegee secured its second straight conference title at the 2026 SIAC Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championship presented by Toyota on Friday at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.
The Golden Tigers finished the two-day meet with 241 points, followed by Central State with 131 points and Benedict with 75.
Tuskegee’s
Anaya Martin took home SIAC Women's Track Performer of the Year honors, finishing first in the 5,000-meter (19:18.02), 3,000-meter (11:03.04) and 1-mile run (5:17.95). She also helped the Golden Tigers capture the distance medley relay title with a winning time of 13:12.83.?
Martin also received the SIAC Women’s Indoor Track and Field Elite 16 Award for her championship performance and academic success. The Elite 16 award, the SIAC’s highest academic achievement honor, is awarded to student-athletes who display exemplary performances in athletics and the classroom.
Benedict’s
Yassmine Chambers earned SIAC Women's Field Performer of the Year honors with first-place finishes in the weight throw (14.00 meters; 45-11.25) and the shot put (13.02 meters; 42-08.75).

LaShaunda Easterling was named SIAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Coach of the Year after leading her team to its second consecutive conference title
