Moncrief's Game-High 18 Points Drives Clark Atlanta to it's Fourth-Straight Victory

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Clark Atlanta women's basketball team controlled the paint and the boards Thursday evening, defeating LeMoyne-Owen 61-51 at Bruce Hall/Johnson Gymnasium. 

With the win, the Panthers improved to 17-9 overall and 17-5 in conference play. Clark Atlanta set the tone early, limiting the Magicians to just eight first-quarter points while building a six-point advantage after the opening period. The Panthers carried the momentum into halftime with a 32-24 lead before maintaining separation throughout the second half.
Junior guard Aanisah Moncrief led Clark Atlanta with 18 points, shooting 6-of-8 from the field and 6-of-8 at the free-throw line while adding two steals and three assists off the bench. Forward Atreonia Garner recorded a standout all-around performance with 11 points and a game-high 14 rebounds, anchoring the Panthers' interior presence. Forward Beulah Odiong contributed six points and six rebounds, while guard Trinity Jones added seven points and five boards.

Clark Atlanta's defense and rebounding proved decisive. The Panthers outerbounded LeMoyne-Owen 38-34 and held the Magicians to 40.0 percent shooting from the field. The Panthers also dominated inside, scoring 36 points in the paintand converting efficiently at the free-throw line (18-of-24).
The Panthers also received key bench production, totaling 30 bench points, helping maintain energy and pace throughout the contest.
