SIAC Baseball Weekly Honors: Feb. 3

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Baseball Players of the Week on Tuesday, Feb. 3, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week. Ajani Lyons and Kyle Cline of Miles College were recognized.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – AJANI LYONS, MILES COLLEGE
Infielder | R-Sophomore | Dallas, Texas
Lyons had a big debut for the Golden Bears, slashing .833/.750/1.000 with a double and four RBI as the Golden Bears took two games from Philander Smith. He went 5-for-6 with a walk, a sacrifice fly and two stolen bases while scoring three runs.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK – KYLE CLINE, MILES COLLEGE
Pitcher | Junior | Gadsden, Ala.
In his first-ever start for Miles, Cline tossed five no-hit innings in a 14-1 win over Philander Smith in both teams' season-opener. Cline was perfect through his first four innings before issuing a walk with two outs in the fifth. He struck out his first two hitters as well as the final batter of his outing to finish with six strikeouts on the game.
