SIAC Men's Basketball Weekly Honors: Feb. 3

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Men's Basketball Players of the Week on Tuesday, Feb. 3, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week. JerMontae Hill (Morehouse) and Danny Delgardo III (Fort Valley State) were recognized.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – JERMONTAE HILL, MOREHOUSE COLLEGE
Guard | Senior | Atlanta, Ga.
Hill has been the catalyst during the Maroon Tigers' nine-game winning streak, the longest active streak in HBCU basketball. His blend of perimeter scoring and defensive presence consistently swung momentum, spacing the floor with made threes. He also impacted possessions with rebounds, steals and blocks in two wins. Hill led the Maroon Tigers with timely shot-making and two-way impact in a pair of conference victories, averaging 17.5 points, knocking down six 3-pointers and adding rebounds, steals and blocks from the perimeter.

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – DANNY DELGARDO III, FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY
Guard | Freshman | Tampa, Fla.
Delgardo was instrumental in a two-win week for the Wildcats. He totaled 53 points on 18 field goals, shooting 48 percent from the 3-point range while going 6-for-10 from the charity stripe. Delgardo added 12 rebounds, 12 assists and two steals, leading the Wildcats to a pair of victories.
