Morehouse's Elijah Pinckney Selected as 2026 Peach of an Athlete Role Model Honoree

ATLANTA Morehouse College's Elijah Pinckney has been selected as a 2026 Peach of an Athlete (POA) Role Model Honoree. Pinckney will be recognized at the Peach of an Athlete Role Model Banquet on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Truist Park.

The Peach of an Athlete Role Model Banquet honors athletes and community leaders who share the values of Scouting and benefits the programs of the Atlanta Area Council, Scouting of America. The 2026 banquet is chaired by Matt Brigham, VP & Treasurer of Genuine Parts Company.

Pinckney, a standout scholar-athlete for the Maroon Tigers, was nominated by Morehouse Athletics for his outstanding achievements in and out of his sport while consistently exemplifying the qualities of a positive role model.

A senior and the starting shortstop for Morehouse baseball, Pinckney has earned national recognition for his impact beyond the field, including being named the 2025 T-Mobile Impact Award recipient at the HBCU Swingman Classic, with the award celebrating excellence in athletics, academics, leadership, and community engagement.
