ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Men’s Track and Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday, March 17, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in meets last week.

MEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – VICTOR CHEBII, MOREHOUSE COLLEGE
Freshman | Eldoret, Kenya
Chebii delivered a championship-caliber performance to help lead Morehouse to the Tiger Relays team title with 196.5 points, finishing ahead of Albany State (132.5) and Savannah State (112). Chebii won the 5,000 meters in 16:51.3 and the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:31.5, then added relay value as part of Morehouse’s second-place sprint medley relay and first-place distance medley relay teams. In all, Chebii accounted for 34 total team points, making him the Maroon Tigers’ top overall scorer at the meet.
MEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – NOAH WILLINGHAM, MOREHOUSE COLLEGE
Sophomore | Jersey City, N.J.
Willingham turned in a strong all-around day to help power Morehouse to the Tiger Relays championship. He captured the long jump title with a mark of 6.37m (20-10.75) and also finished second in the 400-meter hurdles in 57.96, showing impact in both the field and on the track. Willingham totaled 15 team points on the day, highlighted by his event win in the long jump and a runner-up finish in the hurdles.
