SIAC Softball Weekly Honors: March 24

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Softball Players of the Week on Tuesday, March 24, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week. Tranasia Parker (Albany State) and Daria Bush (Clark Atlanta) were recognized.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – TRANASIA PARKER, ALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY
Outfielder | Freshman | Gray, Ga.
Parker turned in a dynamic all-around performance, leading Albany State with her impact at the plate and on the bases against Edward Waters. She went 6-for-9 (.667) with a 1.333 slugging percentage and a .727 on-base percentage, scoring six runs and driving in four. Parker added two home runs and drew one walk.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK – DARIA BUSH, CLARK ATLANTA UNIVERSITY
Pitcher | Freshman | Tampa, Fla.
Bush willed her team to a 3-0 sweep over Allen this past weekend. She went 3-0 with 18 strikeouts and allowing only one earned run. Bush currently leads the conference in strikeouts with 111 in her freshman campaign.
