SIAC Women's Tennis Weekly Honors: March 10

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Women’s Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday, March 10. Monique Gundrum of Albany State University was recognized for her impressive performances in matches played last week.

WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – MONIQUE GUNDRUM, ALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY

Gundrum played a pivotal role in leading the Albany State women’s tennis team to its first victory of the season, securing a hard-fought 4–3 win over Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Gundrum excelled in both doubles and singles competition, contributing crucial points that ultimately decided the match. She teamed up with Brooklyn Bowen to achieve an important doubles victory, giving Albany State early momentum before returning to the court to claim a decisive singles win. Gundrum’s composure, consistency, and ability to perform under pressure were instrumental in the Lady Golden Rams’ success.
