Morehouse Student-Athletes Provide Service at ZAXBYS MLK in Appreciation Of Season-Long Support

ATLANTA Morehouse student-athletes stepped off the field and into the community on March 27, assisting with lunch operations at ZAXBYS located at 946 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive near campus. The visit served as a show of appreciation for the restaurant's continued support of Maroon Tiger Athletics throughout the 2025–26 season.

The partnership between Morehouse Athletics and ZAXBYS franchisee SJAC Food Group, LLC has played a key role in supporting student-athletes across multiple sports. Through post-game meals and ongoing support during long competition days, the partnership has helped keep Maroon Tigers fueled and prepared to compete at a high level.

"Support like this makes a real difference for our student-athletes," said Morehouse Athletic Director Harold Ellis. "SJAC Food Groups. LLC have been tremendous partners to our program, and we were proud to spend time serving alongside their team and showing our appreciation for their commitment throughout the season."?

By stepping into restaurant operations, Morehouse student-athletes demonstrated the same teamwork, discipline, and service that have defined their success throughout the year, while strengthening ties with a valued community partner.

"ZAXBYS is proud to partner with Morehouse College, an institution rooted in excellence, leadership, and legacy," said an SJAC Food Groups executive. "Together, we aim to support student success, enhance campus experiences, and create meaningful connections through great food and community engagement."

The visit comes during a standout year for Morehouse Athletics. The Maroon Tigers captured championships in men's basketball regular season and tournament play, cross country, and indoor track & field. Football recorded its most successful season in seven years, while baseball and golf are currently enjoying their strongest campaign in more than a decade.

Morehouse Athletics extends its gratitude to ZAXBYS on MLK and SJAC Food Group, LLC for their continued investment in student-athlete success and their commitment to supporting the Maroon Tigers on and off the field.
