SIAC Men’s Track and Field Weekly Honors: April 14

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Men’s Track and Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday, April 14, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in meets last week. Mohamed Bah (Albany State) and Jamarri Norman (Allen) were recognized.

MEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – MOHAMED BAH, ALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY
Sophomore | New York, N.Y.
Bah delivered an outstanding performance at the Alice Coachman Invitational, leading Albany State with a dominant showing in the hurdles. Bah captured first place in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.28, showcasing his speed, technique, and control. He also added a second-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.48, demonstrating his consistency and ability to compete at a high level across multiple events.

MEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – JAMARRI NORMAN, ALLEN UNIVERSITY
Sophomore | Calhoun Falls, S.C.
Norman as the sophomore won first place in three events at the FMU Invitational last week. He took the top spot in the men's high jump with a mark of 2.03m, which ranks fourth-best in the SIAC this season, and 13th among HBCUs, regardless of division. Then in the long jump, Norman leapt a distance of 7.07m to win the event and record the second-best mark in the SIAC in 2026. Finally, Norman clocked a time of 16.44 in the 110 hurdles to win his third event of the day and record the ninth win of his young career.
