INDIANAPOLIS —
Fort Valley State men’s volleyball prepares for its return to the NCAA NC Men's Volleyball Championship Tournament for the third consecutive year, as the expanded 12-team field was announced during the NCAA Selection Show on Sunday afternoon.
The Wildcats (16-12) will face Pepperdine (23-6) in the regional round Friday, May 1, at 7 p.m. ET at the Arena at Innovation Mile in Noblesville, Indiana.
With a win, Fort Valley State will advance to face No. 4 Ball State (24-4) in the regional final Saturday, May 2, at 6 p.m. ET.
Fort Valley State secured the SIAC’s automatic bid following a three-peat victory in the 2026 SIAC Men’s Volleyball Tournament, continuing its historic stretch as the conference’s representative on the national stage and as the first Historically Black College or University (HBCU) to compete in the tournament.
The 12-team tournament field includes seven automatic qualifiers and five at-large selections, with the top four seeds hosting regional competition. Winners of each regional final will advance to the championship site at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, May 9 and 11.
All matches throughout the tournament will be streamed on ESPN+, with the national championship airing on ESPN2.
