Spring Hill Bounces Back on Day II of SIAC Roundup

MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill women's tennis team picked up a pair of victories on Thursday, defeating Savannah State 7-0 before wrapping up the day with a 5-2 defeat of Edward Waters. The Badgers now stand at 2-2 for the week with two matches left on tap for Friday.   
 
MATCH DETAILS
The Badgers dominated against Savannah State, taking all three doubles flight by a tally of 6-1 before sweeping singles action. Spring Hill surrendered just nine total points over the six singles matches, with Emma Koch coming up with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 win on Court 2.
 
Spring Hill again earned the first point with a doubles win in Thursday's finale against Edward Waters, but the Tigers answered with a victory in the top singles flight to pull the score even at one. Brooke Powers and Romina Kroemer followed with wins on Courts 3 and 5 respectively, with Italia Jones' 6-1, 6-1 victory in the fourth flight officially clinching the win for the Badgers.
