ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Men’s Track and Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday, April 7, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in meets last week.
Andre Milner (

Sytrevion Dyer (
Allen) were recognized.
MEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – ANDRE MILNER, FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY
Senior | Hinesville, Ga.
Milner delivered an outstanding all-around performance for Fort Valley State at the Savannah State Orange & Blue Meet, showcasing his impact across multiple events and solidifying himself as one of the team’s top hurdlers. Milner highlighted his day with a first-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles, clocking a winning time of 55.33 and earning top points for the Wildcats. His ability to control the race and finish strong against a competitive field demonstrated both his speed and technical efficiency over the hurdles. He also competed in the 110-meter hurdles, where he placed fourth with a time of 15.79, adding valuable points and showing consistency in both short and long hurdle events. In addition to his individual success, Milner contributed to the Wildcats’ 4x400-meter relay team, helping Fort Valley State secure a first-place finish and further emphasizing his versatility and importance to the team’s relay unit. Overall, Milner’s performance was marked by versatility, scoring ability, and leadership, as he contributed across multiple events and played a key role in Fort Valley State’s team success.
MEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – SYTREVION DYER, ALLEN UNIVERSITY
Sophomore | Lakeland, Fla.
Dyer had a career-best performance in the long jump event at the JCSU Collegiate Invitational on April 3, hosted in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dyer recorded a distance of 7.37m to earn a first-place finish in the event. His distance is also the 18th best mark in NCAA Division II this season and is a provisional mark for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships. In Dyer's first season at Allen, the sophomore has improved on his long jump performance in each of the three outdoor events he has competed in. At the Savannah State Eyeopener on March 7, Dyer logged a distance of 6.82m, followed by a mark of 6.97m at the John-Hunter James Classic on March 20.
