FRANKFORT, Ky. —
Kentucky State football climbed four spots to No. 2 in the latest HBCU Division II Coaches Poll powered by BOXTOROW, earning first-place votes following week zero win.
Kentucky State scored 34 unanswered points in a dominate 41-14 win over SIAC rival Central State.
The HBCU Division II Coaches Poll, now in its fifth year, is administered by BOXTOROW and voted on by head football coaches representing HBCU NCAA Division II programs.
Kentucky State returns to action Saturday, Sept. 5, when it travels to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to face NCAA Division I opponent Southern University. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET at A.W. Mumford Stadium.
