SIAC NAMES ALL CONFERENCE & ALL ACADEMIC TENNIS TEAM

Tucker, GA – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is proud to announce the 2007 Men’s and Women’s Tennis All Conference & All Academic. Highlighting this list is Simone Greene of Clark Atlanta University and Ayana Martin of Benedict College. Martin as a freshman nearly went undefeated in Conference play in her singles matches. She was named to the 1st team All Conference team and was named the Women’s Freshman of the Year. Simone Greene dominated the SIAC all season long, taking home 1st Team Singles All Conference Honors, 1st Team Doubles All Conference Honors and SIAC Player of the Year. For the Men Terrell Olagbegi of Morehouse College heads the list of members on this distinguished list being named the Men’s Player of the Year and also a 1st team All Conference member as well. Coach Ricardo Reed of Tuskegee University received the honor of Women’s Coach of the Year while Coach Terry Alexander of Morehouse College received the honor of Men’s Coach of the Year.
