Morehouse scored a total of 40 points en route to this year’s All-Sports Award. With the exception of baseball, the Morehouse men won every conference title in spring sports which includes golf, tennis, and track & field in addition to baseball. The Maroon Tigers also took home the men’s cross country title to go along their other conference championships.

Benedict tied for second place with 25 points after three second-place finishes in cross country, baseball, and track & field while finishing third in golf. Albany State also finished tied for second by capturing their first baseball conference championship since 2006. The baseball title was accompanied by a second place finish in football and two third-place finishes in both cross country and track & field.

Tuskegee, with 20 points, came in a close third after taking home yet another football championship, coupled with their first conference title in basketball since 1979. Fort Valley State University (11), Stillman College (8), Clark Atlanta University (7), and Paine College (7) make up the remaining scoring institutions.

The prestigious Commissioner’s All-Sports Trophy is presented to the men’s and women’s athletic department who have excelled athletically within the conference. A scoring system of 10 points for 1st place or conference titles, 7 points for 2nd place, and 4 points for 3rd place is used to determine the All-Sports Standings for the SIAC 13-member institutions.  Football is determined by their finish in the regular season.  The Men’s & Women’s Basketball tournament is not double elimination and does not offer a consolation game.
