Men’s Basketball Player of The Week: December 11
ATLANTA - The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its men's basketball Players of the Week for the week of December 11.
Jaleel Charles (Claflin) was selected Player of the Week, alongside, Michael Stevenson (Kentucky State) who was tabbed Newcomer of the Week.

Charles assisted the Panthers to a 2-0 record last week to lead Claflin to a 10-1 overall record and 4-0 in conference play. Charles averaged just shy of a double-double as he finished averaging 12.3 points and 9.3 rebounds. Despite the initial 20-point deficit, the Panthers finished with a feat over CIAA opponent Winston-Salem State as he scored a season-high 29 points with nine rebounds and 1 block. The New York native also recorded his second straight 20-point plus game (23) in the win over Saint Augustine's.
NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK
Michael Stevenson
Kentucky State
G 6-5 Sr. Houston, TX
Stevenson led the Thorobreds to a 1-1 record last week. The senior helped the Thorobreds defeat Salem International, 98-89. In that matchup, Stevenson shot 71.4 percent (5-of-7) from the floor while adding six rebounds, two steals, and one assist. The Texas native finished the week with 20 points alongside his 22 rebounds, four blocks, three steals, and one assist.
