Santo Dunn (Morehouse) was named Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Football
Offensive Player of the Week, while
Julien Turner (Morehouse) earned
Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
Carlos Saldana (Clark Atlanta) was also tabbed
Special Teams Player of the Week alongside
Ben Goins (Morehouse) who earned
Newcomer of the Week.
OFFENSIVE - Santo Dunn, Running Back, Morehouse
Sophomore running back Santo Dunn (Griffin, GA) led the Maroon Tigers offensive attack in Morehouse's upset victory over Division I-FCS the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff as he finished with a game-high 159 yards rushing on only 14 carries and two touchdowns while averaging 11.3 per carry.

DEFENSIVE - Julien Turner, Linebacker, Morehouse
Junior linebacker Julien Turner (Pickerington, OH) led the Maroon Tiger defense with a team-high 12 tackles and one sack in Morehouse's upset victory over Division I-FCS the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff. He led a defensive attack that only allowed 116 rushing yards.

SPECIAL TEAMS - Carlos Saldana, Kicker, Clark Atlanta
Carlos Saldana, the SIAC's preseason All-Conference kicker, hit all three of his field goal attempts, including a long of 43 yards, during CAU's 31-30 loss to Mississippi College Thursday. Saldana hit field goals of 43, 26, and 24 yards Thursday and was three-of-three on his PAT attempts. Saldana also had seven kickoffs for a total of 426 yards (60.8 yard average).
NEWCOMER - Ben Goins, Defensive Back, Morehouse
Freshman Ben Goins (Winterhaven, FL) helped the Maroon Tigers upset Division I-FCS the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff as he finished with seven tackles including a pivotal fumble recovery in the final seconds to seal Morehouse's 34-30 victory.
