ATLANTA, Ga. (June 26, 2020) – A record high, 1,356 student-athletes, was named to the 2019-20 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Commissioner's All-Academic Team for maintaining at least a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average throughout the 2019-20 academic year.
Student-athletes with a 3.2 or higher were considered for all-academic team honors. The number of student-athletes selected in each sport is determined by the number of positions usually involved in that sport.
Forty-seven students from eight institutions recorded a 4.0 grade point average.
Spring Hill College led all institutions in this year’s All-Academic Honors by capturing seven all-academic team awards in women’s cross country, women’s volleyball, men’s golf, women’s tennis, men’s tennis, women’s track and field, and softball.
Miles College, Morehouse College, and Kentucky State University each captured two team awards.
