FORT VALLEY, Ga. – In the battle of unbeatens, the Benedict College Tigers dominated the Fort Valley State Wildcats 45-13 on Saturday. Benedict gained 473 yards, rushing for a season-high 299 yards, while Benedict's top-ranked defense held the SIAC's third-ranked offense to a season-low 207 yards. The Tigers improve to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the SIAC. Fort Valley State falls to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the SIAC.

ALBANY, Ga. – The Albany State "Dirty Blue" defense held Miles College to 153 yards of total offense on Saturday afternoon as the Golden Rams defeated the Golden Bears (20-3) at the ASU Coliseum.  The Golden Rams improved to (4-1, 2-0 in the SIAC) while the Golden Bears fell to (1-4, 1-1 in the SIAC).

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – In what can only be defined as a program-defining win, the Lane College Dragons defeated the Tennessee State Tigers in overtime on Saturday in the 23rd annual John Merritt Classic. It was the 10th all-time meeting with TSU and the first win for Lane in the series.

ATLANTA, Ga. – Tuskegee (3-2, 2-0 SIAC) etched out a 45-43 win in double overtime against Clark Atlanta in SIAC action on Saturday afternoon inside Panther Stadium. The Golden Tigers earned the emotional win to extend their current win streak to three games with a two-point conversion ran in by Bryson Williams (Lithonia, Ga.) in the second overtime, after a crucial stop by the Tuskegee defense on a two-point play on the previous drive for Clark Atlanta.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Central State came back from an early 13-point deficit and scored late to secure a 35-32 road win over Allen on Saturday night. Earning their first conference victory, CSU is now 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the SIAC.

Jacksonville, Fla. – One day delayed due to the effect of Hurricane Ian throughout the state of Florida, Edward Waters was able to relish in their first victory of the season, knocking off Morehouse 49-20 in an SIAC East Division matchup at Glover Community Field and Stadium.
Edward Waters (1-4, 1-3 SIAC) was at long last able to put together four quarters of solid football for the first time this season and dictated the pace to Morehouse (0-5, 0-2 SIAC) throughout the entire contest.

SAVANNAH, Ga. –  Four rushing touchdowns propel Kentucky State to a 28-13 on the road at Savannah State Tigers for a league win on Sunday. The Thorobreds defense tallied ten tackles for a loss of 64 yards, led by Jimmy Edmonds (1.5-17 TFL-Yds) and Izaya Clay (1.5-12 TFL-Yds). Trevon Pope earned an interception during the contest. Darrell Dorris led Kentucky State with six solo tackles and seven total tackles.
