BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. – This week's Bible study for the Benedict College football team centered on Esther 4:14: "And who knows, but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?" Saturday, the Benedict College Tigers achieved their royal position as they wrapped up the school's first-ever undefeated regular season with a 54-21 victory over rival Allen University at Westwood High School.

TUSKEGEE, Ala. – In front of a crowd of over 35,000, senior Donte Edwards (Mobile, Ala.) barreled in for a one-yard score in double overtime to secure the 26-23 win in their final Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) regular season game. Tuskegee (8-2, 7-0 SIAC) welcomed fans back in full capacity to the newly renovated Abbott Memorial Stadium for the first time since the pandemic and won their first Homecoming game since 2018.

Jacksonville, Florida-Returning home to Glover Community Field & Stadium had literal meaning for Edward Waters on Saturday. It was the first time in three weeks that the Tigers played a contest at home and it was Homecoming 2022 for Edward Waters. The Purple & Orange put on a show for the home faithful, dominating visiting Atlantis University 71-0 and moving their win streak to three in a row. Additionally, it runs the Tigers Homecoming winning streak to now three and the second most points scored in a football contest since football returned campus in 2001. In 2015, The Tigers defeated the University of Faith 76-7, the high point for scoring for EWU.

WILBERFORCE, Ohio – The Central State Marauders won their season finale, 31-30, over rival Kentucky State on Saturday. In a game featuring Kentucky State's top SIAC ranked running game and Central State's top ranked passing attack, the historic rivalry game had six lead changes and three ties throughout the afternoon.

COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Wildcats taste the sweet victory over their rival this time! Emanuel Wilson ran over the Albany State defense to a tune of 221 yards and three touchdowns, including the 23-yard punctuating score with 1:47 left to seal the Fort Valley State, 31-21, victory in the 32nd Annual Fountain City Classic.
