ATLANTA, GA – As the gridiron battles intensify in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), the path to the 2023 SIAC Football Championship presented by Cricket becomes clearer, with Benedict College leading the pack.
With a flawless 7-0 record in conference standings, the Tigers of Benedict College have secured their place as the home team for the championship showdown! Benedict’s undefeated march through the SIAC has been a display of both skill and determination, setting the stage for what promises to be a riveting conclusion to the season.
As matchups continue, competition for a spot in the championship game remains fierce. The roster of potential adversaries includes Tuskegee (6-1), Fort Valley State (6-1), Miles (5-2), and Albany State (5-2). Depending on the outcomes, the conference could witness a four-way tiebreaker. NCAA QUALIFICATIONS
It is important to note that while Allen and Edward Waters have made commendable strides this season, the programs are not eligible to participate in the football championship. Teams competing in the SIAC football championship must be active NCAA member institutions. Allen and Edward Waters are currently provisional member institutions.
