ATLANTA, GA – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) announced Football Players of the Week for Week 2 on Thursday, September 14. Benedict's Aeneas Dennis was named Offensive Player of the Week, while Tuskegee's Malik Moore earned Defensive Player of the Week. Also recognized were Tuskegee's Lorcan Ryans as Special Teams Player of the Week and Benedict's Aeneas Dennis, who took home a second title as Newcomer of the Week.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK & NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – Aeneas Dennis, Benedict College

Aeneas Dennis, a graduate-school transfer from Shorter University, made quite the impact in his latest outing for Benedict University. In a commanding 34-0 triumph over Edward Waters, Dennis demonstrated his exceptional football skills, competing an impressive 24 of 34 passes, amassing a season-high 310 yards through the air and contributing one touchdown to his team's victory. One of the standout moments of Dennis's performance was a season-long 77-yard pass, showcasing his ability to create big plays when it counts the most. In suffering only one sack throughout the game, Dennis' stellar showing undoubtedly played a pivotal role in Benedict University's resounding win.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Malik Moore, Tuskegee University

With a 36-10 win over Kentucky State, Tuskegee's head coach, Aaron James, has a lot to be proud of, and the performance of junior defensive back Malik Moore was nothing short of spectacular! He wowed the crowd with two assists, six solo tackles, and a 34-yard interception return in the 2nd quarter.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Lorcan Ryans, Tuskegee University

In Tuskegee's 36-10 win over Kentucky State, sophomore kicker Lorcan Ryans significantly contributed to the team's success with seven kickoffs, covering an impressive 383 yards and crucial field goals in the 1st, 3rd, and 4th quarters, totaling 80 yards. His performance was nothing short of spectacular!
