OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Edwin Kleinpeter Jr., Miles College
Quarterback  |  Graduate  |   Baton Rouge, Louisiana
In a spectacular performance, Edwin Kleinpeter
propelled Miles to a resounding 55-14 triumph over Clark Atlanta. Showcasing his prowess on the field, the Baton Rouge native completed an impressive 75% of his passes (15/20), amassing 260 yards and delivering four spectacular touchdowns without a single interception. Adding to his all-around dominance, Kleinpeter also contributed 20 yards on the ground.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Vincent Hill, Tuskegee University
Linebacker |  Sophomore  | Fairburn, Georgia
Despite the slow offensive start as they faced Lane College, the Tuskegee defensive unit came out strong, forcing multiple turnovers for the fourth straight game to start the season. Sophomore linebacker Vincent Hill earned his second interception of the year to stall the first drive from Lane, giving Tuskegee the ball on the opposing 40-yard line.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Jose Chaires, Central State University
Kicker/Punter  |  Junior  |  Atlanta, Georgia
In Week 4, Chaires delivered a scorching performance on the field, unleashing eight punts that traveled an impressive 330 yards. The Atlanta native continued to showcase his skillset with five kickoffs covering an astonishing 313 yards. Chaires displayed impeccable accuracy, successfully converting all four of his attempted kicks, further solidifying his role as a game-changer for the Marauders, consistently providing them with a distinct competitive advantage.
NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – Brandon Marshall, Fort Valley State University
Running Back |  Graduate  |  Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Marshall, FVSU's grad transfer, had a breakout game against Kentucky State, rushing for 115 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries, averaging 5.5 yards per carry. His first touchdown came just 2 minutes and 31 seconds into the game, and he added another with a stunning 55-yard run early in the second quarter. Marshall's performance was instrumental in FVSU's season-high 177-yard rushing effort, securing a commanding win.
