SIAC Football Weekly Honors: Oct. 22

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Football Players of the Week on Tuesday, Oct. 22, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week. Jhaydon Sullivan (Savannah State), Jalil Lenore (Central State), Lorcan Ryans (Tuskegee) and Keith Green (Miles) were recognized.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – JHAYDON SULLIVAN, SAVANNAH STATE UNIVERSITY
Quarterback | Graduate | Winder, Ga.
Sullivan completed 14 of 18 passes for 256 yards and threw for four touchdowns as the Tigers defeated Edward Waters.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – JALIL LENORE, CENTRAL STATE UNIVERSITY
Linebacker | Senior | Chicago, Ill.
Lenore was a standout for the Maraders defense against Lane. He finished the game with 14 tackles, 3 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – LORCAN RYANS, TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY
Kicker | Sophomore | Limerick, Ireland
Ryans had an impressive performance in the Golden Tigers' 38-24 victory over Kentucky State. Ryans was flawless in his kicking duties, converting all five extra-point attempts and hitting a critical 43-yard field goal to extend Tuskegee's lead in the second quarter. His consistency and ability to handle pressure have made him a valuable asset to the Golden Tigers. He also played a crucial role in the field position battle with well-placed punts. Ryans' efforts were vital in securing the team's fourth consecutive win and improving their SIAC record to 4-1.

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – KEITH GREEN, MILES COLLEGE
Linebacker | Freshman | Hueytown, Ala.

Green continued to impress during his first season with the Golden Bears. In Saturday's 49-28 win over Clark Atlanta, the freshman defensive lineman had three tackles, two sacks (for 13 yards), a forced fumble that led to a Miles touchdown, a pass breakup, and a quarterback hurry.
