Spring Hill women’s volleyball dominates first day of SIAC Cluster

MOBILE, Ala. — The Spring Hill College volleyball team (7-7) dominated in the opening day of the SIAC West Division Crossover. The Badgers swept both Lane (3-7) and Central State (5-11) at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Friday.
 
In the first match of the day against Lane, Spring Hill hit for .255 and held the Dragons to -.029, the lowest opponent hitting percentage this season. The Badgers led in every major statistical category except for blocks, which were even between both teams (3).
 
Brooklyn Hall led the match with nine kills, Ella Faliveno led with a season-high four aces and Camille McDermott led with 24 assists. SHC marked its 18th consecutive all-time win over Lane.
 
Against Central State, the Badgers hit for a season-high .359 and again led in every major statistical category, except for blocks.
 
Brooke Borgmeyer led the match with 13 kills, Ashlyn Whiteside led with three aces and McDermott led with a season-high 39 assists. Spring Hill moved to 6-0 in conference play and tallied its 17th win in a row over the Marauders.
