ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Golfer of the Month on Tuesday, Nov. 5, honoring
Derrius Gillis of
Miles College for his impressive performances throughout the month of October.
GOLFER OF THE MONTH – DERRIUS GILLIS
Junior | West Park, Fla.
Gillis finished 12th of 51 competitors and was the top Division II performer in the Division I-dominated Bridgestone HBCU Invitational. He shot three consecutive rounds of 3-over 75. Gillis also finished 14th of 25 competitors in the SAS HBCU Invitational at 21-over for the three rounds. Miles finished second of the five teams in the field.
