ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week on Tuesday, Dec. 17, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week.

Savannah State) were recognized.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – SHAKUR POTEAT, ALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY
Guard | Junior | Orlando, Fla.
Poteat delivered a stellar week for the Golden Rams, highlighted by a season-high 24-point performance in a win over Central State. Poteat shot an efficient 5-8 from the field, 3-6 from beyond the arc, and 4-6 from the free-throw line in one of his best outings this season. He continued his consistency with additional double-digit scoring performances in the YES USVI Basketball Classic, showcasing his scoring ability and leadership on the court.
NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – JEREMIAH BARZE, SAVANNAH STATE UNIVERSITY

Barze had a game and season-high 23 points and went 3-for-5 from three-point range in Savannah State’s 70-52 win over LeMoyne-Owen.
