ATLANTA — After a historic win over SWAC opponent Bethune-Cookman on Saturday, BOXTOROW has tabbed
David Wright III as HBCU National Player of the Week and
Leonardo Cabrera as Special Teams Player of the Week for their performances on Saturday.
Wright III's 374-yard performance willed the Panthers to a comeback in the second half. The Tampa native threw for four touchdowns, 374 yards, and completed 30-of-49 passes with one interception. David currently leads Division II in passing yards (1,311 yards) and passing touchdowns with 14 through 4 games. His performance against Bethune also earned him an ESPN College Football Final "Helmet Sticker" from Joey Galloway Sr.
